Breech again at 37 weeks

Hello girls,

Well I went to the midwife today, at first when she felt bump she said the baby was head down, then she listened to the heartbeat which was very high up and said she was concerned the baby was breech!!!

Going for a scan tommorow at the hospita, I will be a bit dissapointed if she is as I had my heart set on a water birth at the low risk birthing centre I HATE hospitals and have managed to stay out of them all through my pregnancy, but I guess I just want my bubs out safely, thats the main thing.

Just wondering if anyone has experience of being breech so late on and bubs has turned head down before the birth??

Hannah and naughty girl bump!! x

Thanks girls!

You were right Amanda!! had a scan today and baby is head down 2/5ths engaged and very much ready to meet me!!

All that worry for nothing, although they were concerned that she is too small at 5lbs 14, but I am tiny so I would worry if there was a giant in there! I hope you are ok Amanda after your bleed, sounds like our midwives are worrying us!

Suzanne the birthing centre I want to go to is right next door to the hospital and is NHS, you just have to ring them in advance to get booked in, which is crazy cos who knows when your gonna pop!!
I would ask your midwife hun or google low risk birthing centres in your area.

Love Hannah and head down baby!!! whoop whoop!!

Hey

Im sorry this has nothing to do with the question you asked but.. how did you get in at this low risk birthings centre, as i detest hospitals too, did you have to pay???

thanks

That happened to me today...

Hi Hannah!

I had to go to the hospital today as had a bleed. Anyway, the MW felt my tummy to put monitor on and said baby was breech, she put monitor on quite high. I had to go for a scan to see if they could locate bleed. On the scan baby was head down and everything looks good.

Maybe baby is head down and MW, like mine got it wrong (agin-lol)... scan will confirm it!

Good luck!

Amanda 28+1 xx

Naughty baby!
Sorry hun I don't have any experience with breech babies. Daisy was born at 24 weeks by natural birth and (touch wood) this baby has stayed head down the whole time. I'm now 3/5ths engaged

I do know of alot of women who's babies were breech so late and have turned by the time they get to due date. By all accounts you can really feel them turning in the last few weeks (as there isn't much room in there now!) but sometimes the MW will try turn them and quite a few ladies have said it absolutly KILLS!

Sorry I haven't been much help chick.
Get turning naughty baby! Or fingers crossed that she's head down and mw just made a mistake!!
