Hi Ladies,

you might have seen my earlier post about being breathless, well as well as the dr saying its normal blah blah blah, he also said it would be a good idea if i lost some weight, so does anyone have any ideas on how to lose weight safely while getting to the size of a small horse?

I accept im gonna get bigger, but since the beginning of june, i have put on near enough 2 stone, and im only 21 weeks (and i had not got rid of the weight i had with emmy either) So any suggestions will be gratefully recieved

Thanks in advance

Karen(now slightly depressed bloody dr's) and william bump(21 weeks and 1 day)

Bad doctor

Hey Karen

your doctor told you to lose weight!?!?! wot!!!! did he get his doctorate from sesame street i wonder. wot a numtpy!

u definately do not want to be losing weight now so definately do not take his advice.

...at the end of the day alsong as u r eating the right things for u and ur baby and not indulging too much in empty calories then all is good but weight gain wil be inevitable regardless.

worry about he weight after, ur body is working hard u need fuel

oh yeh and get urself a different doctor - i think they found him at the mickeymouse club

take care

Julz 33 week and 1 day

Hi Julz,

thanks hun, that put a smile on my and my hubbies face! The dr that told me that is not my normal dr thank god (i went to him when i frll with emmy and i was 4 weeks, he said come back in 3 months if nothing has happened! i promptly changed from him to another one in the practice and he is fabulous, cant sing his praises enough)

My body today has conspired with him, have felt as sick as a dog today, so not eaten much except toast!

Thanks again for the replies

Hey hun

Please do not feel depressed. Its normal to put on weight whilst pregnant, some more than others but in my opinion now is not the time for your doctor to be telling you to lose weight

Sure you can try eating more healthy but by no means cut down on how much you eat, just what you eat i guess.
Eat a piece of fruit every now and then during the day, in the beginning of my pregnancy i was addicted to fruit, ice cold peaches is all i wanted to have lol

Also do you get tired easily at all? cause with me i was feeling out of breath alot and it turned out that my iron levels had lowered. So i take iron tablets now which seem to help abit.

But please do not think of losing weight too much, i know its easier said then done, im paranoid BIG time about my weight and cant wait to have bubba so i can then try and lose it all lol Im a 14-16 so that in itself depresses me lol.

Hi Emmy,

no i dont feel overly tired (except for today, didn't get to sleep til half 3 this morning and feel sick as a dog today!) I could have slapped him, he is not my normal gp thank god.

.....

Did he take your bloods?? If not ask your MW to. I felt a bit the same and i am borderline anemic, it's a classic sign being breathless....

Now is not the time to be loosing weight!! What a cheeky git!

Take care and get your bloods done!!!!!

Amanda 29 weeks today and swelling up all over very nicely......

xx
