Is this a unique name, or is it a label?

HI

A friend of mine, wants to call her son Tiger, I would love to know your opinions on this. Is this a wonderfully unique name, or a label to have teachers and other parents pre disposed against him.

Is it a or a

No that bad

i think evry1 has the right to name thier child something dofferent but there is exepetions, like twins called fish and chips and benson and hedges(these where real names that were given along with a girl called tullah does the hula)
tiger is not a bad name. a personality defines a child, not the name.
tiger woods is a great role model!

What about tiger woods?

is that his real name? you know.... the golfer??
not toosure about it myself i like unusual names but that one is a little too much like a pet name for me.
each to their own though, its always hard with names theres always someone who doesn't lie what you like.
but if we all liked the same we'd all be caled the samew names!!! lol!!!

No tiger woods' name is not really tiger...

Tiger Woods' name is Eldrick, I believe, but he changed it. I think the only person who can pull off Tiger is Mr. Woods, so I would advise nobody to use it. Sorry!

No way

no way im sorry but she should think about when the boy goes to school with a name like tiger the other kids will make fun out of that i like names that not every one has but not to the point were u are trying to get a job with a name like tiger id call him tiger at home but as a nick name like everyone has said xxxx

Shes been watching too much ZOO VET!! His sons called Tiger, I thought it was a bit strange!!

Hooray!

Its not me going insane then!

Now - How to convince her without upset!!!!!!

Mmmmmmmm

I call my OH that as he is a bit of an animal in bed - lol!!

It's def a pet name, wouldn't use it as a christian name...

I'm afraid its a from me but i'm sure there's nothing wrong with it as a nick name (i call my son chicken lol) or even as a middle name if she's adamant??

Hiya

Like Sarah was saying not something you would use as a name, in fact one of my brother's friend used to call me tiger when i was a little kid!
so it's a I'm afraid.
I do like some unusal names but some takes it a bit too far.
