made it to 12 weeks plus!

HOORAY!!!! I can't believe it! My friend came with DH and I to scan - very funny - we looked like a lesbian couple with our sperm donor!!! But it was great to share the excitement with her too!!! We took cards, flowers and chocs to the clinic as i was officially discharged but my consultant has agreed to give us consultant lead care and will scan me every week till my 20 week scan then play it by ear! I was SO relieved and happy i could have kissed him - despite the hubby being there- just didn't want him to change his mind and send me to the nut house instead so restrained myself!!!
All ok and no probs so far...... bubs was kicking away then went to sleep again! My friend is a nurse and has said they have dopplers on her ward so I can go anytime and get a professional to listen in - have heard it can cause a real freak out if the heartbeat can't be found. At least that way i can practise finding it before we decide to invest in one ourselves.

Once again thank you all!!!

I still can't pluck up the courage to tell people though!!! I told my best friend the other day when she asked how i was over coffee! I said i felt so bloated like i was 6 mths preg and casually dropped in its a shame I am only 3!!! She almost fell off her chair!!! As a teacher I have 2 weeks half term from tomorrow and will be almost 15 weeks when i go back so will say then - hey i think they have noticed my obsession with baggy clothes recently - i used to wear really fitted things but now nothing fits!!! I am sure they know anyway but nevermind.
