Indegestion and bloating (tmi warning!!)

Good afternoon ladies.

I'm so excited to have made it this far into my pregnancy although I'm very early on I know!

Basically, I'm being plagued with wind, indigestion and bloating. I've had to buy clothes one size up because I can't bear to have my trousers fitted anymore, plus when I'm bloated I can't get them done up properly!!! I've had to buy jeans two sizes up and they fall down when I'm not bloated!

What can I do? I already look four months gone. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hey

Hiya,

have you thought about trying some of them yoghurts made for helping digestion, like activia.

Also you may be suffering from water retention causing you to feel bigger and bloated make sure you drink plenty of water as that should help.

good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

Hiya sam

i had all that earlier on i was popping rennies like nobodies business i still take it now and again, like the other lady say try the smaller meals each day. peppermint tea might help too.
As for the clothes not sure if you've read one of my posts a while ago where i got a belly belt combo which lets you stay in your jeans, trousers etc.. well the one i got was from amazon and it's got two sizes of elastic small and large with buttons and hooks and 3 different colour of fabric which the large elastic goes thru so that it covers up your dignity with having an open zipper and you just wear a long t-shirt/top with it to cover it over. it's about £9.90 and maybe £2.00 postage.

Hope that helps hun.

So you're not on your own there i've still got all that but not as much as it was at the start, it will settle down.

Hi babes

Thanks for replying. I was considering the belly belt but thought I might be abit early yet. Still, I am having to buy clothes with loose waist bands but the legs and bum are massive!!! ha ha. I must look like such a clown!

Thanks for the heads up, I'm going on to Amazon now.

Ohh, so excited, you're nearly twelve weeks! Not long to go.

Hey sam

Yep I'm pretty excited like anything

Bout the belly belt the smaller size is actually for when you can't do up your button but can still zip up that's why i went for that particular belly belt.

Same!!

hey sam, im also eay on and suffering the same thing, the only advice i have had s to eat small amounts often to ease the amount of food your processing. i also have constipaton with it and my mouth is watering constantly lol.
it is helping but the bloatedness is still there. i have had to loop hair bobbles around my jeans buttons to let them fit!!
not much help but at least i can sympathise.

Yay!

It's so nice to hear from someone in the same predicament (although I am sorry you're going through it too).

Feel so much better to know it's not all in my head. I'm down with the constipation thing too. I either can't go or I can't stop! Today I've had the mouth watering but that's new. Oh, the joys of being pregnant. As long as everything is okay with the baby he/she can keep going with the discomfort! hee hee.

Very nice to meet you - we should be due around the same time I think. I've been dated 14 June. How about you? This is my first baby so it's all new and abit weird/frightening.

Thanks for replying,
