Worrying

Hey ladies and bumps

So in my last post i stated that baby is still breech and that if still breech in a couple of weeks a ecv will be offered. I have done my homework on ecv and the risks etc and think i would rather not chance it and just book a csection if it comes to that.

But now i have been reading about breech babies in general and i keep reading that babies that have been breech through out pregnancy have a higher risk of an abnormality, so im really scared and actually to the point of being tearful.
I had all my tests and every scan has been fine with nothing abnormal detected but im worrying about what if there is?

Im almost contemplating paying for a private reassurance scan, im really worried now that something is wrong with my little one and thats the reason why she hasnt turned.

Anyone had this and everything is just fine and bub was just stubborn? I never knew there was a link with babys position and abnormalities but im guessing there actually is

Hey

hey mine lo is breech to has been since 26 weeks and i need another scan in 2 weeks all my others were head down by now some do stay breech some turn even in labour i 2 will not have evc or a nat birth as it can cause baby damage to brain arms but then c section im even scared of as i heard a baby was cut open so im like u very worried the only thing we can do is hope they turn in time try not to worrie to much as long as baby gets out safe thats the main thing good luck xxx

Try to relax!

I had a presentation scan a fortnight ago and baby was frank or extended breech. I had ecv, which failed two days later. It was uncomfortable but I am glad I tried it.

Since then I have been having moxibustion along side acupuncture. Also been doing pelvic ... .rolling around on a birthing ball...lots of things!

I was scanned again today and baby is still breech and looks very comfortable! As for the abnormality risk...I had cvs done and we know the baby is fine.

The doctors and midwifes have said the baby may still turn...it just might wait until I go into labour. However I am waiting for my date for a c/s.Beleive me there is no one who wants a c/s less than me but as long as my baby is healthy then what will be will be.

You still have time for your baby to turn....good luck!

Hi emmy!!

Don't be reading such rubbish You have had all your scans and everything is fine!! Your little lady is just comfy at the moment there, who says that she doesn't go head down a few times and then back to breech?? When i was in hospital a few weeks ago MW felt bay and said it was breech. I had to have a scan an hour later because of a bleed and on the scan baby was head down. During the trace i had before the scan baby was moving and we lost the trace, that was when she must have turned. I am 31+1 and know that my baby is sometimes head down, sometimes sideways and sometimes breech.... Your baby has plenty of time to move, please don't worry!! I was looking on the net the other day about pains i had, it could have been this, could have been that, etc, etc. I could have taken myself to the hospital with some of the things i read. For every good thing you read there is always a bad comment that we seem to stumble on....

You're nearly there now, try to enjoy these last few weeks and don't be getting yourself upset!!

Being the saddo i am, i was watching yet another birth program yesterday and the lady wanted a home birth, she was 37 weeks and baby was breech... She looked on the net and was doing lots of different positions to get baby to move around, she managed to get it to turn! Maybe if your little lady is still breech in a few weeks look for some of these techniques to try.

I know if my baby is breech i will opt for the section, i am to much of a wimp to be awake whilst they mess..... I have had a section and they're not too bad, really...

I would just wait and see for a few weeks. Please don't worry, your little baby will be and is fine...

Take care!! amanda 31+1 xxxxxxxx

Thank you

Thank you ladies for all your support, i do tend to work myself up sometimes and completely freak out

Like you have said all my scans including bloods have been fine, there is nothing to worry about...well apart from the birth itself
I actually got my notes out and rechecked everything ahhh what a fool i make of myself every now and then lol

Yesterday i got all panicky because along with discharge i had like water come out but i had this sometimes before i was pregnant, like a watery discharge and so started working myself up thinking it was bad and i actually think it might of just been a bit of pee as ive had nothing since and bubs has been her usual active self.

I even texted my hubby just a couple of hours ago when i was panicking telling him that if anything happens to me during birth i wanted him to know he has given me the best years of my life ,bless him he called me back saying not to be talking like that and worrying what a state i get into

Thank you again ladies, your right, there is nothing to say that she wont turn in next couple of weeks and even if she doesnt a csection will be booked and then my lil girl will be out

Hey love

Dont worry hun, your little girl still has plenty of room and time to turn, my baby girl was breech up untill the 35th week and she turned without me even knowing.

Also a few memebers of my family were born breech and are absolutely fine. Breech babies are still relatively rare, most turn before they reach full term.

I think your girl will be fine, but if you are really worried you could go for a private scan, just to set your mind at rest.

Hope that helps,

Hannah & 39+5 girl bump xx

try not to worry hun!

We're due around the same time and up until last week my baby was breech too.

I literally found out yesterday that my baby has turned head down, but even so, my midwife told me it could still turn round and round and upside down again up until about 35/36 weeks. She categorically said 'do not worry about this until you are 35 weeks and then we'll think about turning it'.

The likelihood is that your baby will turn in it's own good time so please try not to stress about it. She also told me that 95% of babies will be breech at some time during the pregnancy, but only 3% actually present as breech during labour because they turn themselves!

I've never heard anything about a link between breech babies and abnormalities but I know some of the Mum's on B&T has babies that were breech at some point and are completely fine!

Please try not to worry, there's no reason why anything will be wrong with your little one if all your tests have been fine.

Take care,

Sophie 32+4 xxxxx

Hey

try not to worry to much i no its hard but the more you worry about it the more upset u will become.
ive har of lots people having breach babies and they come out fine if all your scans were fine then im positive yours is fine just sturborn..
i peronally would say ring your gp or MW and discuss your worrys with them they are the main ones who can put your mind at rest

hope everything is ok
