Can i join you ladies??

Can I join you ladies please?

My doctor just called to confirm that my blood results have come back confirming my BFP and he said that everything looks good!!!
So I am 5+3, so still extremely early, however he has said that all the hormone levels look like i am having a very healthy pregnancy so far.
He has also booked me in with a OBGyn, the soonest appointment he could get is for the 11th December, so will be having my first scan on exactly 12weeks!!!

Myself and OH have decided to wait until after the scan before telling people apart from closest people, which is so hard, im bursting! I have told my best friend, and he has told his, we have also told his mother as she lives with us. Will be telling my parents in a few weeks as I dont want to tell them over the phone and they are emirgrating here in a few weeks. I tell my mum everything, so finding it hard, but want to tell her to her face.

How do you get around the whole not telling people? Friends of mine desperately want me to go out with them to the pub, and friends birthdays coming up and they will know something is up as i have stopped smoking and also wont be drinking......what do i say? How do i get around it?

Syptoms wise, have had all day long nausea, my boobs are agony, really tired, but apart from that not too bad yet.....waiting for it to kick in!

Anyway, this post is going on much longer than expected, just so excited right now!!! Oh....and im due on the 25th June 2010!!!

Hope all of you lovely ladies are well and bumps are growing nicely.

I'm Kirsti, 20 years old and live in North Yorks. I'm no longer expecting as I gave birth to my son 12 days ago
So I'm now over on b+t (baby and toddler board) but still pop over every day to see how the ladies are getting on!
It's hard to keep quiet isn ... I told everyone when I found out as I'm pants at keeping secrets

As for getting around drinking.. Just tell people that you're on anti B's and can't mix them with alcohol. It works everytime. Hope your sickness goes soon.. horrid isn ... It should pass by 12 weeks. Bet your so excited for your scan! I know the first 12 weeks just drag by then before you know it your on the final countdown to labour
Well done you for quitting smoking! I didn't manage it until 20 weeks and now he's born I've had a cheeky few

I'll stop babbling on now! Oh your due on my daughters 4th birthday! How lovely!

Good luck and heres to a Happy and Healthy 9 months xxx

Love and hugs

Welcome to expecting.

Hiya Tara, welcome. have a healthy pregnancy hun.

You're gonna be just fine just take each day as it comes. Well about telling people I'm no good with that because i've always said even though my OH didn't want me to tell anyone until i was 12wks gone I said i'm telling everyone which I did, my reasons is that no matter what happens i'll have that support of friends and family 'if' anythng goes wrong but i know and keep telling myself everything is gonna be just fine.

i'm further on than you and i still can't believe i'm pg myself!

So take care!
