Going to hospital tommorow

We are going to have a membrane sweep. I am getting so frustrated I hope it works. I tried my own sweep the other day when me and my man had rudies! did'nt work, I only did my back in!!!

Just wanted to know who out there has had a sweep and it actually worked.??
I really, really dont want to have to be induced artificially as I heard the labour is harder and longer and has more risk of complications

Hi Hannah, good luck tomorrow. I think they are good providing your cervix is at the correct stage for the sweep. They will probably do it anyway but ask if it is favorable when they do it as you have a better chance of the sweep working ... You might start tonight, who knows!!!

Hi hun,

Ive had sweeps with all of mine. With the elder two it didnt work at all, then i had 2 sweeps with my 3rd the 1st didnt have any effect waht so ever then they repeated it again 5 days later then 10 hours after my waters broke, the thing i done after the 2nd sweep was go home and bounce like mad on my ballso i dont knbow if that helped.

Good luck honey! One of my friends was booked in for a sweep last Wednesday and went into labour naturally on the Tuesday evening - they say sometimes the knowledge that something is going to happen is enough to get you started!!

I am so excited for you - it won't be long until you meet your little princess. Can't imagine how frustrated you must be though - I still have over 6 weeks to go and the waiting is driving me nuts!!!

Anyway - just wanted to wish you luck and I hope the sweep works for you and can't wait to hear the news of your little one arriving!
