Raspberry leaf tablet confusion!!!

Hello everyone, hope Mummies to be and Bumps are okay....

I want to start taking raspberry leaf tablets and always thought that you started taking them at 32 weeks, but some-one recently told me that you shouldnt start taking them until your 36 weeks.....

Which is right? Ive had a look on the internet and there is lots of different advice....

What has everyone else done?

A bit of advice would be great, Thanks Everyone

P.S We bought our Pram yesterday an iCandy Cherry, and I love it!!!

Hey kat

I started at 32. I waited until 36 weeks with my monster Matthew and I agree with Amanda its just not enough time to do anything. I have the tea. It smells lovely... i just wish i could say the same for the taste

Oooooh prams... I've actually had mine since i was 20wks... I know its terrible bad luck but it was on sale!!! lol
I've put the cot up now (yes me!! I wouldn't let OH near a screwdriver if my life depended on it! lol) the excitement is getting to me now!!

Whatever you choose, you know best!

Hi kat

I am taking it now. Took one tab at 31 weeks, 2 at 32 weeks and will build it up. I don't think taking it at 36 weeks will have any benefit as you are full term from 37 weeks.

Hey hun

Although im not taking it in tablet form i am taking it in tea form ( spoke to a nutritionist and she says you get more out of it through tea )

Anyhow i have read in many places from 32 weeks, i seriously think in my own opinion that 36 weeks is not enough time to get the most of it. Plus they say you should start off in small dosages and then increase week by week so you dont want to leave it to late as they say it can increase the intensity of braxton hicks.

At the mo the rlt im drinking is from clipper ( in a green package) and its actually lovely, ive started at 1 cup a day and by this thurs when i turn 34wk i will be going to 2 cups and so on.

I shouldnt think there would be anything wrong at all with starting now hun as i started the tea at 33wk but thats only because i hadnt managed to find it before.

Hiya

My midwife said dont take them before 36/37 weeks.

Everyone seems to say different, some people take them earlier than that, I wasn't sure so started at 36
