Had my dating scan!!! and finally made my announcement!

scan seemed to go on forever.....! I don't think the sonographer was too impressed as I hadn't drunk enough water! Well I can tell you I couldn't concerntrate on the scan really as she was sooooooooooo brutal whilst pressing near my bladder, I think I had plenty, spent most of the time thinking please don't wet yourself please!!!!! It was great to see an active bubs again (thanks to gym and 5 fruit pastilles once more) but it looked quite strange, I know i would be the first to complain if my baby had no bones, but I didn't like seeing them!!! (the spine, ribs etc!) So glad all ok after having the slight scare trying to locate heartbeat with, what turned out to be, the wrong type of doppler at 1 am last thurday!!!

Anyhow, date was moved forward a bit to 24th April so am over 15 weeks now!! Actually I really hope I can hang on till May - no one in our families has a May birthday, our wedding anniversary is May 8th and as my last m/c was in late may this yr I just think it would be a nice time! Still its out of my control so who knows!

Told everyone at work today, most had no idea - great! they just thought i was fat! also changed my status to BLOOMING MARVELLOUS on facebook - there was me thinking it was subtle.......!

Sorry for the long post! Just having a rethink regarding the swine flu jab now, am thinking perhaps i should??

hey glad all went well.
i rememebr my first pregnancy 12week scan was a bit of a shock. she didnt speak to me for ages and kept saying "and you think ur 10-12 weeks" and i kept saying yeah then she turned it around and went "your actually 17+5 days"
i was shocked and she was so rude about it. she atually said how did i not know.
dont thik it helped that i was only 16 at the time.
but he is a healthy 7 yr old now and all is good. my dh couldnt believe she was so horrible. thankfully our next sonographer was lovely.she even gave us extra pics away with us. so hoping im getting her this time aorund lol.

that is brill hun. hmmm some sonographer are not quite nice aren't they?
when i went for my scan to see if there was any chance of my baby she even had the nerve to ask me if i got my dates mixed up and that maybe i wasn't that far along! she knew that i had possibly lost the baby as i had a nurse waiting with me for my scan and i was in a hospital gown!
sorry for the rant.
I'm glad that you got to see bubs heartbeat and everything was looking fine.
