Such a worrier

Hiya everyone,

Was wondering if anyone knew much about dopplers and when i can use them first off, as ive been worrying all day about things even had a little cry ,
Im so worried something isnt right as my nausea is hardly there now, and i had a molar pregnancy with missed miscarriage in 2003 and when i went for my first scan there was nothing there, Im terrified of this happening again, i dont think it will seem real until i have my first scan but thats not until week 12, 6 whole weeks yet i dont know how ill get on until then.
Has anyone else felt this way until week 12. And cant picture themselves pregnant.

Any way ladies and bumps thanx

Hiya hun

It took me forever to get pregnant so when i eventually got a bfp i was terrified something was going to go wrong and i had some early bleeding which made me even more terrified, i purchased a doppler and was able to hear the heartbeat from 10 weeks with the doppler i bought, although this can depend on how baby is position and on our body shapes. But it is so valuable to me and i listen to baby twice a day.

My 12 week scan wasn't until 14 weeks so i ended up booking a private scan at around 11 weeks. When i was early on my symptoms came and went.

I suggest you have a chat with your midwife and see if she can book you in for an early one, alternatively if you can afford a private scan then i would recommend it.

One thing i would say is that you really shouldn't look on the internet, i read all the horror stories and tied my pains and lack of symptoms into everything bad i possibly could but i made myself worry even more. Then i realised i couldn't do anything about it and would just have to hope, keep my fingers crossed and pray it was all going to be ok.

I'm still stressing now so it never goes away but please don't look on the net.

If you want to ask anything just pm me.

Take care

Love

Aww lynz

they should be giving you an earlier scan if you've had that horrible mc. have a word with your mw hun and let her know wot's going on she should push your scan forward. i thought once you'd had a mc they would be more cautious and keep a closer eye on you hun.

Hey hun, i'm here if you need to talk, pm me anytime hun.

lots of love and hugs!

Hey

hi hun i really wouldnt worry i know its easier said then done but honestly if you by a doppler you wont hear a heartbeat which will make you panic even more.

Midwives wont try for a heartbeat untill 16 weeks even then it can take quite a while to find.

Only advice is dont keep reading up on the internet as you will convince yourself something isnt right.
Its also not unusual for your symptoms to go they will likely come back.

See you doc

Hi hun,

Dont sit around worrying and getting yourself into a state its no good for you or bubba, its normal to worry espically when you have had the experiences that you have had. I lost twins very late on in one of my previous pregnancy without any indication that they had both died it was only when i went for a routine app that they couldnt hear a heartbeat so when i went on to have my last baby i was a mare to be around constantly worrying. I went to see my gp and she got me a scan at 6 weeks 8 weeks 10 weeks then i had the normal 12 week scan then i had another at 16 weeks by which point i started to feel baby then i went to the doc once a week for them to listen in for me until i was feeling the baby more regular, I went on and had a healthy baby then when i fell again with this pregnancy it was a repeat of all the scans my health care have been fab go and ask hun i hope they are as helpful as my gp.

Take care

Hiya

Ive spent most of today googling (bad idea) its come up with blighted ovum missed miscarriage etc and im so freaked out now. i just dont feel right. oh would be so mad he told me off for googling yesterday and that things would be fine, i just camnt shake the feeling off, sorry im honestly not this wierd just worried
Thanx ladies xxxxxxxx

Hi hun

I think this is completely normal. I couldn't believe I was pregnant for AGES! Had my 12 week scan and then believed it for about a week, then I began to worry again, until I had the scan at 20 weeks and began to feel some movements.

It just seems so unreal doesn ... Especially before a bump begins to appear. Even now though sometimes I find it hard to really comprehend there's a little human being inside my belly (even though I'm huge now!!)

I wouldn't use a doppler for a while yet, as you will freak yourself out if you can't find the heartbeat. The midwife told me that it was hard to detect with a doppler before 15/16 weeks.

It's a weird time, but try to relax.
