Huge belly???

Could anyone tell me when you are supposed to start supporting a bump? I am nearly 11wks and have quite a prominent bump. I am trying to keep it quiet as have suffered miscarriages in the past but I am getting paranoid that people will suss me out. I am not exactly a little person to start off with and I have been getting bloated towards the afternoons but I'm huge!

Is this normal?

Hiya!

i had a very prominent bump by 11 weeks! Only size 8 so it was a huge shock!! I know i am retaining water as my ankles are swollen and take ages to go back to normal even when i elevate them!! I am now very proud of my bump at almost 16 weeks (on sat!) At least people can tell i am pregnant now and i can start to believe i am too!!!

I also get bigger as the day goes on. and had 2 m/c earlier this yr.

Please don't worry! Try to embrace it and enjoy it!!! I only told people at work on monday!! Most hadn't guessed (although i was less than 14 weeks when i went on a 2 week half term the last time they saw me!)

Ems 15+5 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

thank you

Cheers for your reply, I must admit with me not telling anyone I will be glad to come out of the closet and support a good sized bump and like you actally believe it! You probably know all too well that you become paranoid as my first miscarriage was at 11wks and my second at 6wks so you don't do the things you did the last time on purpose and until I'm safe so to speak!

I'm really pleased for you and hope that I will be writing the same thing in weeks to come, it really helps having someone to tell things to!

Thank you so much
G xx

Hey hun

Hey

I only started having a real bump when i was about 20+ weeks and even then it was quite small. In the begining i would get really bloated and i thought omg if im this big already then imagine what i will be like when i get half way
But all it really was, was being bloated and i think just a temp reaction of the hormones changing within in the body because when i got to about 15wks or so it all went and wasnt bloated at all!

I also am not a little person, well i am lil in height but not lil in weight lol im a size 14 (16 at times now)

So yes in my opinion perfectly normal

Emmy & 34 pink bump

Thank you

thanks for your reply, a few weeks ago i could tell it was water retention as i gradually ballooned up through the day but now its just there like someone just plonked plastercine on my front so cant wait for it to be like normal, as normal as you can be pregnant hahahaha
thanks again you an bump

Hey

hey hunny, im a size 16 and im 8 weeks and ive put on 5 lbs already, this is my third.
im blaming water retention and wind lol.
u can sow early its not unusal.
with my frst i was in my size 14 jeans till i hit 20 weeks. but i got my 12 week scan and discovered i was actually 17 weeks so it was maybe just psychological lol.
i starting showing with my second at 13 weeks quite obv to be honest.
if you feel to small for maternity cloths try a belly belt. u can get them on ebay and amazon

thanks for the reply that made me laugh, the wind can be very embarrassing eh
I will try and find a belly belt, I have been wearing some good old fashioned bridget jones! i can get away with it at home as I just wear baggy jumpers but finding it very difficult at work! oh god I can't wait til i'm safe and can come out of the closet
thanks again

Hi g

I'm 8+5 and I already look pregnant (or fat!!). It's the bloating and wind - I know I'm gorgeous. I'm burping like a trucker right now which isn't like me at all.

I can't do any of my jeans up because they feel slightly too tight but also I like the comfort of loose clothing right now. I'm wondering how I'm going to get to 12 wks without anyone noticing.

I brought the belly belt and it has helped although at this stage a belt would probably do the same job as long as you are wearing knickers that match your outer garments!

I brought my belt off Amazon for just under £10.

Good luck to us all! hee hee.

Oh the joys

I've come to the conclusion its just us being paranoid, everyone will just think we're porkers and have eaten all the pies this week hahahahahaha

I did have a look for a belly belt but have resigned myself to not do anything until at least 12wks - after 2 mc's I don't think I will ever be really confident about carrying it to full term - so have to get through this weekend before I buy one - Bridget Jones will have to do til then hahahaha

Good Luck and keep me posted, it's great this site for making you feel normal and that excess flatulence is not just me

Thank you xx
