big baby

Hello ladies!

After my midwife appointment last week, I was measuring 38 weeks even though I was only 34 so she recommended I see a consultant and have a scan. I had the scan yesterday afternoon and they measured the baby and calculated that he/she weighs 6 lb 4 oz already ! ( )

Because of the size I had to be tested for diabates this morning, but everything was fine, they said I am just having a big baby.

My question is.... how big will they let me get before suggesting an early induction? What are my options? I have another scan at 38 weeks to check the progress but I'm worried baby will be so big I'll have to have a C-Section which I'd really rather not.

I was 10 lb myself so big babies do run in the family I guess, but I'm still worried!!

bloody hell...lol... that is a big baby.. big babies are gorgeous thou!!!!! Hhhmm i would stress your concern to your midwife and see if there anything they can do.. because if baby does get alot bigger trust me you wont want to push him/her out.........

My midwife estimates my baby will be 9 pound or so which is big to me, and also i was walking home earlier and someone said how long have you got left, i said 5 weeks and they were shocked as they thought i was due now, the cheeky ... I was like do i really look that big!!!!!
