I'm 14 weeks this Friday but in the last two weeks have stopped feeling pregnant. I still get sick first thing in the morning but the actualy pregnant sensation seems to have gone. I haven't had a scan yet as the hospital I have chosen (Leeds G. I.) do not offer a 12 week scan. Has anyone else felt like this?

Thanks, Kat x

hi, im 14 weeks too and feel just like you, iv had a scan at 11wks everything was ok, i suffered badly from sickness from very early on but all the symptoms seem to have gone, when i spoke to the midwife she did say that from 12 weeks you start to feel a lot better and it was normal. i bought a doppler too at 12wks its called anglesounds from ebay and can hear the heartbeaat everyday i find it really reassuring its the best feeling ever just to listen to it whenever you want. good luck with your scan xxx

Have you thought about buying a fetal doppler??

I got mine from www.bumpmagic.co.uk wasnt too expensive and could put your mind at ease

Im 13 weeks today and last night I heard my babies hearbeat for the first time, was amazing

Dear Kat,

Pregnancy affects many people in different ways. It still quite early on, and being sick is a signn of the pregnancy hormone in your body.

For example I didnt start feeling the baby moving round till a week or so ago and I am 24 weeks pregnant now.

Please do not hesitate to contact the doctor though if you have any worries.

Your mind should be put at ease when you have the scan though, when do they do the first one?

Wishing you lots of luck & best wishes,

Natalie x

Thanks Natalie. Leeds G I told me that they usually do the first scan between 14 and 16 weeks. Definately looking forward to the scan, it will be a big weight off my mind!

Kat x
