Morning!!
I have recently found out that I am pregnant (I am now 7 weeks) but I am a bit concerned as I have very little pregnancy symptoms, no sickness, felt nauseous only a couple of times, breasts are only sore every now and again but I have been quite tired. I have also been having what feels like period pains some days. What has made it worse was that when I went to my GP to confirm my pregnancy I mentioned the pains and was told quite plainly that 1 in 3 pregnancies end in miscarriage and that I am very early in my pregnancy, I was 5 1/2 weeks at that time.
Is it quite normal not to get morning sickness? I even went out and bought another pregnancy test last night, still positive! has anyone else had this experience?

my pregnancy went really quick it helps that it was unexpected so when i found out i was 3 1/2 months gone. i had no sickness at all just felt tired. and to top it all off i had a period at the beginning thats why i didnt no i was so far on.
everything will be fine luv just enjoy it dont let the fact of labour scare you either i didnt even know i was in labour i was sat in a hot bath for 3 hours cause it felt like the baby was laid funny and i was 10 days over my mum phones me and sai that i could be in labour that was at 7.30pm i went into hospital at 8pm had gas n air at 10.30 and my little girl was born ta 11.54pm at a healthy 6lb 13oz i grazed alittle but its no where near as bad as what people tell you its not put me off. but give it a couple of years though.

Well i am one of the unfortunate ones that has really bad morning sickness, but get this... i didn't even find out i was pregnant until i was a good nine and a half weeks along. I had no symptoms until about my 12th week on and then it got bad.
on the other hand, i know a girl that just had a baby and she didn't have any problems with her pregnancy, as a matter of fact, she didn't even know she was pregnant until she was in labor!
It all really just depends on your body. Who knows, you may be one of the lucky ones like my friend that never shows a single sign.
As for your doc, give him a good kick in the shins for me... statistic or not he doesn't need to put that kind of stress on you because it could help cause the dang miscarraige. You really shouldn't worry too much about it otherwise it may happen just because of too much stress on the baby and your body.
Keep your chin up and take care!

God your doctor sounds like a right piece of work! It's only fair that he/she advise you of the statistics and the risks but blurting it out like that is out of order.
I found out I was pregnant at just over 4 weeks and have been tired ever since (am now 10 weeks). My breasts have been incredibly sore and I am starting to feel queasy over certain foods and drinks. Apart from those things, the lack of 2 periods and positive pregnancy tests, there is nothing really to set me aside from someone who is not pregnant.
I haven't been sick and I don't have "the metallic taste", I am not constipated, nor have my nipples darkened blah blah blah.
I have a friend who is 2 weeks behind me and she feels dreadful all the time and has been sick. What I am trying to say is that although "pregnancy" is a big blanket that we are all wrapped in, each of us feels it in different ways. What's normal for one is not normal for the next.
Your doctor is right about the statistics but worrying about it can only make things worse. I am in constant fear of something going wrong but as every blood-free day passes, I am eased that little bit more.
I truly hope that everything works out for you - I am sure it will.
Take care

Hi
I am one of four women in my workplace to fall pregnant in the last year - and the only one unfortunate enough to suffer morning sickness!
It is sad that so many pregnancies do end in miscarriage, but your lack of morning sickness doesn't mean that yours won't turn out well - two of the three other women I work with had healthy babies, and the third is due to have hers next week and all has run smoothly for her.
Just be glad you don't live on ginger biscuits and spend half of every morning running for the ladies!! lol. Good luck x
