"Stop to work"
Posted by charlotte841 17 February  at  17:22

to look after my baby.
I plan to stop to work at least 6 months or 1 year after the 16 weeks maternity leave. I read on a website that i was going to be paid during the first 6 months, not a lot something like £100/w but not for the 6 others months.
Does anyone know something about that and can eventually indicate me where i can get more informations about that.
Thank you

I worked up to the week before my baby was due, then get more time paid after the baby is born-when you need it.

hi, well my boss has told me the longer u stay at work the longer they will pay u for. im nearly 5months and im still working its best to stay in work as long as you feel you can. it keeps you active and your mind is occupied.
also the jobcentre has got your right wen it comes to pregnancy and work.

the pregnancy calendar in the Mother and Baby section, my sister-in-law found out loads of legal info from it.
From what I remember for her, you will still be paid, but the amount of money decreases gradually. You could try your local social security office as well
