hii just had my first scan and the baby is alive and doing well! my due date is december 13th. I am so excited!!! when i came out the room i kept texting everyone just saying 'it's alive' lol everyone thought i was crazy but seeing that little heart beat really made my heart melt!

crikey how exciting!!! i thought i was the only poor sole to be close to christmas... i`m due 20 dec.. same for me with the scan I couldn`t believe how big baby already seemed. unbelievable. I hope we can all keep in touch and share our growing stages xxxxxxx

I had my first scan yesterday and am also due on 13th Dec (LMP 8th March) and my dates were spot on, so I'm 12 weeks and 5 days. The scan was so amazing. He (or she) was doing flips all over the place and waved at us and everything - it was brilliant. It's good to know that we're over the first hurdle isn ... So looking forward to the coming months. Not really showing at all yet and still wearing the same clothes which is great, but give it time! Knowing my luck, by the end of it I'll be fitting in to my husband's tent! Very attractive!

I'm due December 8th, had my first scan 2 weeks ago and it made it all feel more real. Since the sickness and tiredness has stopped though I just don't feel pregnant anymore and have thought about getting a fetal doppler, has anyone else bought one?

hi, yeah i bought a doppler after my 12 week scan and its fantastic, its the best thing ever, i had a miscarriage last year so think i've been a bit over the top with worry, but with the doppler i can hear the baby twice a day or whenever im feeling anxious!im now 14 weeks n 3 days,(due 2nd dec)and the heartbeat is getting much easier to find. i have heard mixed judgements on them though, when i told my midwife i had one she pulled a face and said they dont work.i think it just depends on how your baby is lying though. if you do get one you should be prepared to not always be able to hear it and it does sometimes take a long time to find it. i got mine off ebay, its called "angelsounds".good luck, let us know how you get on if you buy one xxx

please don`t even bother with the doppler.. i got one coz i lost my symptoms only to panic even more when i couldn`t find the heart beat. next day a scan revealed a big strong heartbeat. i`m sure they are great but only when its done by a professional... hope this helps xxxxxxx

Ive got my scan next week - I just hope its all OK, getting a bit worried now! According to various internet sites my due date is Christmas day!!
