Has anyone had this happen to them? I've just had an early pregnancy scan (common practice as we are registered with the local fertility clinic)
Saw the gestational sack clearly but could not see anything inside it? This was an internal scan and I have VERY irregular cycles but i ovulated around May 5th so i must be 6 weeks pregnant at least? My only pregnancy symptoms are being tired, irritable, bad outbreak of acne and some discharge.
The Doctor was very good, not overly concerned and has re-booked me in for another scan in 2 weeks time. I would just like to hear from anyone who has shared this experience as i'm scared that this is not going to develop and 2 weeks is going to feel like forever to me!
Any response would be appreciated!
Thank-you

i am currently 11+ 3 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby my first two were fertility babys i was scanned at 6 weeks with both sac baby and heartbeats both times.
however this time i had an early scan as i did not believe i could be pregnant having being told i could not have children naturally some years ago.
yes i am over the shock lol. and the same as you,
just a sac and nothing else.
i was re scanned two weeks later and there was baby and heartbeat nearly 8 weeks by then i was amazed at how it all just seemed to appear.
so hopefully you will be just as fine. etc
Take care Rach

Sorry to be a pain but do you know how big her gestational sac was? Also, was she having any pregnancy symptoms? I have a 20-22mm sac and whilst the doctor didn't sound too concerned after finding various websites it appears that anything over 18mm with no fetal pole is classed as non-viable? I am already bracing myself for the worst, it's so unfair!
Can anyone put my mind at rest?
