I found out i was pregnant just over a week ago. me and my other half went to the doc's. he didn't do anything, as in all he did was answer a few questions and told me to make an appointment with the midwife. im not due to see the midwife until the end of this month, is this normal. i don't even really know how far gone i am the doc said about 8 weeks but this was only from me guessing when my last period was and doing about 5 pregnancy tests! i want to know!!! whats nornmal? what happens next? please help!

Hi. I'm six weeks gone, and it's quite normal not to have your first midwife appointment (booking in appointment) until 10 weeks or so. My visit is in the first week of July. This happened the same way in my first pregnancy, so I'm not worried. Think the best suggestion I can make is to calm down a bit - you'll find out everything you need to know when you see your midwife and in the meantime just enjoy being pregnant and pampered! Oh, and I would recommend making a list of questions to take with you, because you'll think of hundreds of things to ask over the next few weeks and then promptly forget them when you're sitting in the midwife's office!!
