"Thanks everyone!" Posted by kitty1261 25 June at 16:14
Hi Everyone, Thanks for all your replies. I decided to go to Waterfall Spa in Leeds in end (Thanks Laragold!) as live not to far away. I went for the '100 pillows' massage which was absolutely fantastic. They have a lot of packages designed specifically for pregnant women and very safe which is great. Would definately recommend. Apparently they do an excellent foot and leg massage which will be trying out next time I go. Thanks again everyone!

Visiting a spa is a really good way to relax. Waterfall Spa in Leeds has lots of really excellent packages designed specifically for mums-to-be and all ingrediants used are totally safe for pregnant women. The 'me and my bump gentle massage' is absolutely fantastic as is the 'yummy mummy'. http://www.waterfallspa.co.uk/mum-to-be.php#bump Would definately recommend.

Hi
I am planning to have a 'mother to be' treatment, which is a massage with different muds and creams, in a few weeks - it's costing me £65. You do need to be careful where you go, as the massage needs to be appropriate for a pregnant woman - not to mention the table itself! But lots of places do special packages or treatments for mums.
I also find swimming really good - the feeling afterwards is lovely, sometimes using a bit of energy makes you feel just as good as relaxing. And you don't get all sweaty! x

"Foot massage" Posted by bouncygond 12 June at 13:04
Towards the end of my first pregnancy my feet were killing me all the time, so I booked into a health spa type place for a foot massage. I didn't go in the end because the baby came early and I didn't get the chance, but I think it would have been lovely!

Yes you can get a massage, i've found a place that does a mother and baby massage. They can actually massage the baby while its in your tummy. Originally i thought that it sounds abit weird but apparantly its really nice and they can even teach you how to do it yourself to relax your baby! I just try and put my feet up whenever i can to relax too! Let me know how you get on hun!

Yoga is the best way to relax when pregnant & you will benefit from it when you are in labour. find a good pregnancy yoga class or dvd & give it a go.
