I'm 15 weeks pregnant but have been having period type paing for the last few days, they're not as bad as a normal period pain but they are worrying me - has anyone else experienced this? I thought that after the 12 week scan I would stop all my worrying but it's hard not to worry.

Hi, K i have now got three children & through all of my pregnancies i had a period pain every month , i was worried with the first but then when it happened with the second i didnt worry anymore as i never had any spotting or bleeding! when i was having my third it was like a constant period pain all the way through so i can assure you that its nothing to worry about , hope this helps.

I will be 16wks tomorrow,and like you this past week i've been having peiod type pains,back ache,sore belly,headaches.But this i've come to discover is excactly what i had at 8 and 12wks,which would be the time i'd have a period if i wasn't preggers.And as you are coming up to 16wks maybe you are having normal monthly period symptoms.This is quite common in pregnancy.If the pains are really bad,or bleeding occurs then speak to your doctor/midwife.Don't forget our bodies are being pulled and stretched about,and we will experience many discomforts,way past the 12wk mark.Tke it easy and try not to worry,easier said than done.

It rreally helps to know that someone else is experiencing the same things and it makes it feel more normal. I can't wait for my 20 weeks scan now.
