"Helpful partners" Posted by wenders 6 March at 16:09
hi charlotte
I was just wondering if he helped before you became pregnant?? my boyfriend and me share the "cleaning/domestic duties" anyway and helped each other out when each other are tired etc etc. so when I became pregnant my boyfriend just picked up the slack while i was busy either sleeping or throwing up!!!! i'm 12 weeks and have been very ill & tired the whole time. from reading the other messages it seems i'm very lucky to have such a helpful partner, i've not made tea/washed dishes/ washed clothes for nearly 2 months!!

Hi Mine keeps telling me not to lift the hoover (I think he thinks it will get to the top of the stairs itself) apart from this the usual housework duties are down to me (for now anyway) but then I am only 12 weeks so plenty of time for hime to be doing them later on

"Its great" Posted by charlotte841 25 February at 14:21
you should have a good gp or doctor because i havent seen the midwife yet and apparently, i will see her after i will have had my scan, which is due for 2nd week of March, but if you have a look at my post "just want to share" you will understand, its comic! hope you enjoy your pregnancy and are not too sick. Would you like to know the sex of your baby if it is possible ?

My midwife is excellent! But I would have thought you should have seen her before your scan as I had to fill it lots of paperwork beforehand. I really feel for you as it is a difficult enough time without having the extra stress that you have had. My first 3 months so far have been pretty awful, I have been off work for the last 3 weeks because I always feel sick (I have only actually been sick a handful of times) so I am hoping (fingers crossed) that the rest of my pregnancy goes much better. I think I probably would like to know the sex of the baby as this will make the planning easier. I hope everything goes better for you from now on & this was only a minor hiccup.

"Mine too" Posted by clara5710 21 February at 17:49
the first three months my partner helped alot with everything because i was ill and tired. when i started doing things for myself again he just kind of stopped. If I ask him to help he will without question, but it would be nice for him to just do it on his own sometimes too.

Mine's very good and thoughtful when he realises I'm tired or feeling rough, but as a general rule, unless I say something obvious, he's quite oblivious. No-one's perfect though and I don't feel bad about asking, it's half his baby I'm carrying anyway!xxx
