"Try not to worry"

hi
i had a low lying placenta when i was pregnant with my first daughter, basically it means that instead of being at the top of your womb, your placnta is lying over your cervix, normally it corrects itself and moves back to the top of your womb further on in pregnancy and everything continues normally but in a small amount of cases it will stay put, it will not harm your baby but it will mean you would have to have a caesarean as your cervix will be blocked and the baby will not be able to pass through. also, im not sure how common it is but when i had a low placenta i found that i was bleeding, it was just if i sat down to hard or knocked into anything where it caused the placenta to bump against my cervix,it caused no harm but try to be carefull and if you do experience bleeding try not to worry but let your midwife know especially if the blood is bright in colour or a large amount. hope this info has helped and wish you luck with the rest of your pregnancy! x
