"Has anyone gone on a sunbed during pregnancy?"
Posted by kellyv1982 18 June  at  20:45

ive started to go on sunbeds the last few weeks and have just found out that im pregnant, ive looked it up on a few websites and all of them say theres no evidence that it harms the baby but your skin can re-act different and you can get odd dark patches on your face that dont fade after pregnancy. has anyone got any experience of this? or has anyone gone on a sunbed during pregnancy and been fine? my confidence is quite low and going on the sunbed gives me a boost so i dont want to stop but at the same time i dont want to do anything that could harm my baby or leave me with marks that will lower my confidence further. i would really appreciate any advice!!!
thanks, kelly

"Was told not to"

hi there, i was goin on the sunbed when i found out i was pregnant with my first. i was also worried and asked around and was told not to do it, so think you should maybe stay off them. why not try self tanning even using the johnson cream that has tanning lotion in it theres loads about and much safer. oh and thanx for the info you gave me. x

Im really not sure about the sunbeds though i would think that fake tan spray would be safer. Its cheaper also and you give yourself a wee spray whenever you feel paler !
