I went to the doctors yesterday, i'm not far along - only six and half weeks. They did a urine test and found a little blood in the urine which they have sent off.

I should have asked more there but it was not until i left the surgery that all these worries started to pop up in my head. Is this a sign of perhaps an impending miscarriage? Is it something i am doing wrong?

Has anyone else had this problem? I have not told any of my family or friends yet so i don't know who to ask for advice.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Holly

I am sure its just routine that they have just sent the sample off. If it was anything serious then I am sure they would have kept you there or contacted you.

If you are really worried about this then call your midwife, do you normally see her in the hospital or at your GP's? In your notes there should be a number for contacting her, if not then ring your GP's and say you would like to speak to the Midwife.

Please dont worry as I have heard its quite normal to hve some blood in your urine at this stage.

Hope it all goes well and let us know how it goes.

Take Care & Best Wishes,
Natalie x
