| Thread started by: | "Giving birth in kingston - antenatal classes options + childcare tips" Posted by anne5716 29 December at 16:28
Hello
I am 23 weeks pregnant and will give birth in Kingston hospital. I have been told to book antenatal classes but I am not sure what is available and which alternative is the best- Any advices?
Also I have started looking at chilcare option and it looks like you cannot have your baby looked after for less than £900/month in Kingston ! Am I missing something? Thank you ver much for your tips.
By the way I am French and if there was any French mother to be in the area, would be nice.
Best wishes
Anne

I hope your pregnancy is going well. I am french as well and gave birth in Kingston where i have been very very happy with the staff and their services. I had two antenatal classes there, which i found simple because, if you read a lot, you will find that what they will say is what you already know. Netherless, it is still interesting to go because you can speak with the midwife, you can ask any questions you want, and mostly, you might become friend with some others mothers. I meet a french girl with whom i am now friend and we hope that our baby will be friend too !!
For the childcare, effectively it is extremely expensive, that is why a lot of women stop to work the 1st year, this is my case because to pay 900/month + the tiredeness of the work+ transport, it doesn't worth it, does it ?
I don't check regurlarly as i did when i was pregnant but we can get in touch. Where do you live ? since how long are you in england ?
