Hi there

I just wondered how long it normally takes for the card to come through to receive free prescriptions and dental care? I filled in a form at my booking in appointment when I was 8 weeks pregnant. I'm now nearly 17 weeks pregnant and haven't received anything yet.

Can anyone tell me how long it took to get there's or does it generally take quite a few weeks?

Hi - I would definitely chase! I only sent mine off about 2 weeks ago and al;ready have it back!

Mine only took about 2 weeks to come through so I'd give them a chase if i were you!

I am 11 weeks pregnant and have just come back from my booking appointment today and my midwife said it takes 6-8weeks. She also said if I needed dental care or a pescription in the mean time to take my pregnancy notes with me and this can be used as confirmation of the pregnancy. I would chase yours up though as it seems such a long time to wait.

i would ask your midwife about it, it only took about 2/3 weeks for mine to come. she should have a number or an address you can contact.
