"Nice maternity dresses"
Posted by kavvy 5 July  at  17:38

Hi all,

My brother's getting married in a few weeks time, and I need something nice to wear the night before. Fairly flash really. I would ordinarily be wearing something Indian, but can't find anything nice, so am now thinking a nice bright dress.

Any ideas where I can find something nice online and not too expensive?

K.x

Hiya K

I was at a wedding this weekend, and was worried about the dress beforehand - I ended up buying a John Rocha at Debenhams number in black and dressing it up with ivory pashmina and accessories, and black fascinator for hair. Was really pleased at end result - dress wasn't maternity either, just bought a bigger size. If you look at their website you can get an idea of the styles - they do also have maternity if you're worried. I liked the fact you can actually go to the store and try dresses on, personally, because I have problems even when not pregnant! But if you're ordering online, make sure you give youself plenty of time. Another good place is ebay, as there are plenty of dresses on there which have been worn once or twice and are no longer any use as they're maternity styles - so the quality should be good, in theory.

Obviously they may not be to your taste at all but best of luck!

Hi. I'm off to a wedding in a few months and had no desire to spend a fortune on a fancy outfit I was only going to wear once. Looking online I came across a few websites that might have something for you. Most of it was either new stock or barely worn (as is often the case with maternity wear!). I ordered something from Becoming Mum and they were quick and easy to deal with. Haven't tried the others yet. Hope these help.
