"Heartburn"

Hi everyone

Is anyone else suffering constantly from raging heartburn? I've had it since about 16 weeks, and it's getting worse - will be 29 weeks tomorrow, and am worried how I'll feel in another ten weeks! Also worried as it's meant to mean lots of hair for the baby - at this rate, she'll come out looking like a chimp!!

heyy .. i have bad heartburn & acid. I've had this since the middle of my pregnancy and i know it can be very annoying and painful. I've heard that it means your baby will have lots of hair too .. i've got thick curly hair! lol .. hopefully within a couple of days i will get to see if she has mine or my bfs hair (my due date was yesterday) i have found that drinking milk ( even just half a cup) soothes the heartburn .. hope this helps =) love danielle xO

Thanks for the reassurance, it's not only me then!

I have been drinking LOADS of milk - started with a glass in the evening and a digestive, and gradually I'm getting through pints of milk now, as the effects wear off quicker!

Might try the Rennies - Gaviscon was recommended by MW yesterday when I mentioned the heartburn, but don't fancy it, bit chalky! She did laugh when I asked if they could shave the baby before handing her over after the birth!! lol
"Heartburn....so uncomfortable!!"

Hi Kirsty.

Know exactly how you feel i've suffered from about 12 weeks and mine seems to be getting worse too, in the daytime it's not quite so bad but it's started waking me up in the night now aswell.

I didnt find Gaviscon very helpful so i've been taking Rennie Soft Chews, drinking milk and propping my pillows up quite high at night....this all helps ease the discomfort....for a while!

I had it when i was expecting my son and he was born with alot of hair, but it was never as bad as this time round....it's not the nicest of things...really burns at times....good job it's all worth it hey?! xx
