"Quit smoking tip" Posted by ronnie86 18 July at 09:24
I only read your post cos I didn't know what a Doppler was!!
But I gave up the fags years ago with the help of a book called Easy way to stop smoking, by Allan Carr. It's fantastic! If you really, truly want to quit for good, read it cos it makes a lot of sense and kind of changes your brain around so you think of smoking totally differently. You'll start to wonder why you ever did! It's great. He does sound like a bit of a patronising w***** but it's worth reading to get off them! It's really not as hard as you think.
Hope this helps! Good luck with your Doppler thingey!

"Hi! i have one." Posted by staceymy 16 July at 11:46
HI there. I bought one the other day off ebay. It cost £28.95 and postage £4.95. It was called a fetal heart monitor/doppler and can be used from 10/12 wks. The baby has a heart beat from 8wks. I am 15+3 wks and can hear the heartbeat. Its best to wait while the scan so you no which side the baby is at cos i think i would have struggled a little. Very reassuring that everything is ok as i didnt hear it at the scan. I would definatly invest in one. Stacey x x x

Hey, i no you can buy dopplers early on, I bought one that I could use from 20 weeks+. It was 30 pounds from argos! We loved using it! I am now 27+ weeks and dont use it that much because we get the reassurance from the baby moving and kicking! Its great!
Good luck with your pregnancy x

Thanks Nat, Was it hard to find the heartbeat? Could you hear it clearly? i'd like to get one so that my boyfriend can feel more involved and listen too. So you dont have too much longer to go now! Do you know the sex of baby picked any names? I cant wait to feel the baby move how many weeks were you when you first felt it? x x
