i am 7 days late for my period i took a test on saturday that was negative, i am only ever at most 2 or 3 days late.
I have been ting for 18 months and i really am hoping the test was wrong, it was one you can do 4 days before period is due.
Has anyone had negative test but was pergnant?

As of today, Sunday 22 July, I am 7 days late and just took a First Response test which came out negative. I will be making an appointment tomorrow with my Doc. I'm a little disappointed that the test was negative.

jayjay67 - I was just wondering if you had an opportunity to take another test? Or if you had decided to leave the thought behind?

i was going to test again last week, but the day i planned to do i woke up and was bleeding. Not had a normal period though, only heavy for 1 day then the last 3 days i have had very light bleeding only when i wipe ( sorry for tmi!!)
I have hospital appointment on tuesday for fertility tests so i will hopefully be able to get a few things straight in my head and hopefully stop worrying about it all.

Today is day 8 of being late and I went ahead and took another test, negative again. I did call my Doctor and have an appointment with her on Wednesday. I'm going to chalk this up for stress. She will do the blood testing, so we shall see. But I am going to try and stop thinking about all this. Take care!

Not to scare you or anything but I was two weeks late and my pregnancy test kept saying negative. I finally went to the dr and had them do a blood test. Come to find out I was 6 weeks pregnant. You might want to try going to your dr.

I was 7 days late for my period when i took a pregnancy test which read negative, im only ever 1 day late.
So i took another test the following week which read POSITIVE!

thanks for replying, i'm hoping its not just wishful thinking, i am hardly ever late so it feels so wierd being a week late and having a negative test. i was almost convinced it would be positive (sounds silly but had dreams the night before that it was positive lol)
I'm gonna do another test in a day or 2 if i dont come on!!

If u can, i would say use a clear blue digital test when u first urinate in the morning, u get the best results first thing in the morning.
I had convinced myself that i was pregnant, i thought i had all the symptons, then done the first test which read negative( the test wasn't a clear blue digital one, cheaper version), i was so disappoined. I just put it to the back of my mind, thinking i cant be pregneant as the test read negative. A week later the symptons became stronger & i had put on 4 pound in weight, so i took a clear blue didital test which read positive.

hi, my tests still say negative and im 20 weeks!!! i had one positive test at about 6 weeks so went to get it confirmed, i had to have a blood test which showed positive! i was convinced id lost the baby at 12 weeks as the tests had gone negative, so when i went for my scan i was amazed to see my baby waving a kicking about!!! xxx

thats so wierd. i can only imagine the releif you felt t the scan.
Its all so confusing and fustrating.
i've got 2 more tests so i am going to wait a day or two then test again. so fingers crossed.

I have been following your messages that you have posted on this site for a while now and everytime I come on here I hope that you have posted a new message saying that its finally happened for you. 7 days is a long time to be late for your period esp when it isnt normal in your cycle. Hi there. I had a miscarriage 21/2years ago. I tested a few days before my period was due with clearblue digital and it said pregnant. I went to a&e because of cramping and they tested me again and said i wasnt pregnant. Unfortunatly i lost it 2 days later. Try not to worry it took me 2years to get pregnant and im a heathly 19 year old. I no that thinking and worring bout it never helps especially when ya get the dissapointment. Just keep testing a negative doesnt always mean negative and if your period doesnt come see your gp. i no what waiting around is like. it happened to me when i practically gave up and forgot bout it.
