"After the first trimester."

I had a massage last week at 15 weeks pregnant. My therapist told me that you should not have one in the first trimester as it increases the risks of miscarriage apparently.

Make sure that whoever you see is clued up on pregnancy, I booked for a mum to be massage which was lovely. Bear in mind having to lay on your tummy which was still fine for me at 15 weeks, however I didn't count on my boobs hurting so much! A good therapist will be able to adapt the bed and the massage to you and your growing body. Also be aware that certain oils cannot be used in pregnancy.

Hope this helps and enjoy!

Hi Waterfall Spa in leeds do a great range of massages and treatments designed specifically for pregnant women. The actual bed is fantastic because they do the '100 pillows massage' from their 'mum to be range' in the relaxation area on a really soft and comfy circular bed so there is pleanty of room to spread out and get comfortable, plus the beds are private-surrounded by metal bead curtains, so you can just drift off to sleep afterwards.

Enjoy!
