I didnt go to any classes, I found the midwifes were very helpful though when i did go into labour...if you listen to them then you will be fine!
Athough if you want to know what you are in store for then i suggest you go so you can be prepared.
Hope this helps x

Hi.
I had a baby 12 years ago and didnt go to any and i'm due with this baby in 8 weeks time and havent attended a single class!
I'm sure some people find them useful, but i just found it too hard to attend them as they're always in working hours in my area.
I managed ok without them......knowing me once i'd gone into labour i'd forget everything i'd learnt anyway!!
If you dont go, then i would advise you searching the net and reading up on everthing though.....this is what i've been doing x

Hi there,
When you next see your midwife ask her about ante-natal classes as they should do them in your area.
At the antenatal appointment you will meet other mums-to-be and they go through what to expect when you go into hospital, choices of pain relief and exercises.
I found it useful and helpful and would definately recommend you going as you can never be too prepared for what is to come!
Hope it all goes well, let us know how you get along!
Best Wishes, Natalie x
