Hello there.

I'm off to Egypt on a press trip at the beginning of August and I love the sun and normally sunbathe quite a bit.

I will be 15 weeks pregnant when I go and of course I will not go mad and sit in the sun between 12-3 and wear a really high factor but I did want to have a nice relax around the pool a few days of the trip.

As long as I drink pleanty of fluids and keep going in the pool to cool down do you think I will be ok? Just don't want the baby to get overheated!!

Anyone else been away recently???

Hi, I suppose loads of sun isn't ideal. I baked in the Maldives for two weeks as didn't know I was pregnant and everything was fine. Have a nice time, Leonna x

Ive just got back from majorca and like you I love to sunbathe. Was 20 weeks when I was away and although I did sit in the sun I took it easy. made sure I dranks lots and sat it the shade regularly. Went in the pool lots to cool down still got a good tan. Just don't go mad but don't let it put you off.x

I went to Greese 3 weeks ago and sun bathed as normal - although for me that was burn on the fist day and sit in the sheade for the rest of the week.!

Off to Italy tomorrow and as I am showing a bit now will probably be more careful. I also find it unconfortable to lie on my tummy now so that will hinder things! I looked for a nice 2 peice with a long top in Heathrow yesterday but there was nothing - perhaps Gatwick may be better tomorrow - although it will be 5.30 am so not sure how much will be open!

HAve told everyone now apart from my family - who are in Italy at present so off to tell them - quite nervious really about their reaction!

I just will be really careful - just fancied getting a bit of colour especially as it is constantly raining here! hehe

Well I did sun bath but not masses as it was too hot, also quite self consious as at the fat no bump stage! But my tummy is a bit browner and looks better for it.

a while ago, at about 9 weeks to Greece. i am the same as you, usually love the sun and am out in it all the time. i just wore a really high factor and was in the shade a lot, to be honest i couldn't take the sun too much so was nicer in the shade. don't worry tho, i still got a good tan!
