Thank you so much for your replies and support - it means so much when you can't talk to anyone you know!
Well, I just couldn't wait til Friday - is anybody else as insane as me when it comes to testing??!! lol
Anyway, this morning's test was positive straightaway - very faint though.
My problem now is that I can't stop worrying that I'm going to miscarry again like I did 2 months ago. I drank a full bottle of wine on Saturday night - obvioulsy befoire I knew I was pregnant(typical - I don't normally drink much at all!) and had my hair dyed too (not at the same time though!) I'm supposed to be flying to Spain in 2 weeks time and am now paranoid about whether I should be flying or not. My partner keeps telling me to relax and enjoy it but I'm terrified of getting my hopes up in case things go wrong again - am I nuts or is it normal to worry so much??!!!

Whole thread for the following message:

"Faint positive line - but only after 30 mins!"

Hi All,
I am having a really long cycle this month (ovulated late) and think I'm due on on Friday. I did a test today, and it appeared to be negative. Half an hour later, a very faint line appeared - has anyone else experienced this or is it just wishful thinking?

The tests shouldnt be read after 10 mins as they stop being accurate after this time, I have 2 examples. I took a test last year that came back negative, after 20 mins a faint line appeared and I was chuffed to bits. However, after more tests, it tured out I wasnt pregnant. The same thing happened this year and I was.

I would do another test (cos there is simply no way of knowing based on the test you have already done). Maybe leave it til friday and give it another bash. Good luck though honey, I hope you get the result you want.

Sarah. xx
"Faint positive line"

hi
I did a test last week on the day I was due on and had the same thing, the negative line came up almost straight away so assumed that was that and try again next month, after a little while a faint positive line appeared too! Did another test the following day and it was positive straight away.
"I had that too"

Yes I did an early test myself and after about half an hour after I did the test a very faint line came up.

I did another test about five days after the first which was positive straight away. I am now about 32 weeks pregnant!

I would definately advise you to do another test on Friday, though it sounds like it has picked something up.

Hope it all goes well and do let us all know how the out come of the second test goes!

Best of Luck,
Natalie xxx

Well done on getting your BFP!!! You must be very excited! This pregnancy is a fresh new one, so think nice positive thoughts! Wishing you a happy healthy 9mths ahead of you!lol

I was out on my crimbo doo the night before I got my BFP and I had been on the vino! Dont think it has done me any harm...that was one of my first signs, the fact that I couldnt stand the smell of wine!lol

Flying, you will be fine. I flew to Barcelona last weekend, no probs. Each of the airlines have a cut off point, but its alot later on, I think after 28wks some need a docs letter.

Enjoy!!! tc Sharon 14+3wk bump xxx

I am so pleased for you!! As easy as it is to say try not to worry, you will just get yourself all stressed and thats no good for you or baby.
On my first pregnancy I had a big girly night out with far too much wine and discovered I was pregnant the following week, all was well with that pregnancy. It is normal to worry though, I am 5 weeks today and every niggle sends me into panic stations!! Look after yourself and I will keep fingers crossed for you

I'm 5 wks with my third and have done eight tests, all at different times of the day! I have become extremely neurotic, constantly worrying. I reccomend a book called "The Best Friends Guide to Pregnancy". It's quite funny and talks about how bonkers we become and I feel a bit more normal after reading it. Enjoy and well done!

i was diagnosed with severe clinical depression and a week before i found out i was pregnant with my first 3 i took over doses, then of course i found out i was pregnant and i totally freaked out, but i now have 3 very healthy very happy children and im pregnant with my 4th (luckily my depression is better now so no more overdoses)

flying is fine in the first and second trimester its just in the 3rd that most air lines dont allow it, and im certain dying your hair is ok too you just have to be careful with the fumes and stuff

good luck with the pregnancy
