Hiya
I think its natural that we worry there might be something wrong. I had my 20 wk scan today although I am closer to 22. My fella mentioned afterwards that I have been hell to live with in the last couple of days cos I've been so worried they would find something wrong.
I am so happy to say that the baby has everything they should have, everything is in the right place and is the right size... and a little extra surprise... its a boy, we were both convinced it was going to be a girl, so now we're stuck trying to find a name!
Hope you had a good day with scan, I was amazed to see the little fella swallowing the fluid... yak... but so unreal to see his little mouth moving!
Let me know how you got on.... did you get to find out what you're having??
Take care Aimee xxx

Hi i'm 23 weeks and had my 2nd scan last week. Like you I had been feeling the baby move for a number of weeks. I felt really nervous that there was going to be something wrong I think its only natural. The lady who did the scan was really nice she took measurements and was really thorough. Everything was fine and we found out we are having another girl. Try not to worry too much and good luck.x

hi kayleigh!
Everything will be fine, its natural to worry that something might go wrong or something might be picked up on the scan but 97% of babies are perfectly normal and heathly and the other 3 % usually have some genetic problem i.e. something that is passed down from the parent. So if you and your partner are both healthy then the baby should be absolutely perfect too!
And yes you will be able to find out the sex providing the hopsital will tell you, I know some maternity units have a policy of not telling mothers the sex but majority are ok
hope this helps! xxx
