my experience.
I am 10 weeks pregnant, so i am supposed to have a scan in 2 weeks but i still haven't received a letter for an appointment. So yesterday night i went to see my Gp to remember myself to her memory and she told me that she wrote to the Kingston Hospital on the 25/01, i have to chase myself the hopital to know why nothing has been done.
This morning, i call Kingston hospital, the nurse tell me that i will have my scan in Queen's mary hospital, that i have to call them. So that i do. Queen's mary hospital tells me that i am not registered because I AM NOT ACCEPTED IN KINGSTON HOSPITAL TO GIVE BIRTH!!! Not sure to have really well understood, i repeat the sentence and she agrees, telling me that i have to call Kingston again or my Gp to have another list of hospitals. I try to stay calm, i call back Kingston and the nurse tells me that in fact, the letter has been written but not sent yet to queen's mary hospital but, she will fax it and i have to call again beginning of the next week Queen's mary hospital to have my date for the scan, normally 2nd week of March.

To be followed...

"Antenatal clinics"

Does your GP surgery not provide regular antenatal clinics? My local surgery is where my scan and regular appointments are carried out and I only attend the hospital if there is a problem or when I am about to give birth? Do you not have an allocated community midwife? If you are not sure ask your GP and you can just contact this midwife direct with any worries or concerns and she will arrange all of your appointments for you! Good luck and let me know how you get on!

I am looking forward to it and i really hope the midwife will be patient and will answer to all the different questions i need to speak about.
Thank you for your post.
