Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well.
With 6 weeks to go......yikes!!! Thought i'd better start getting all my baby bits up together and was just wondering what your thoughts are on gro bags?
I have to admit the babys i've seen in the mags dont look so snuggled & comfy in a grow bag as they do under their little blankets but i am thinking of getting one as they are meant to be safer.
Any thoughts on this please? x

Hi - it was the first thing I bought. I figured that if I can do without all the bedding mallarchy then why not?! So long as you have the right tog and size I think they seem fabulously simple and worry free. K.xx

Hiya
I bought one from Mamas & Papas after doing my research...I'm paranoid about cot death and they are meant to be good for regulating the baby's body temperature and preventing them from overheating/wriggling right under the blankets. Mike's daughter had one when she was smaller and I thought it was great, so I decided to go for it. But the person who said about tog weight/birthweight is right, you do need to make sure you pick the right one for the baby's size and the season.

i bought a grow bag, but it said not to use until they are over a certain weight, i think it was 8lb and over, and watch the tog, mine is a 3.5 tog, which is fine for a room at 18 degree or below, our room always sits at 18. but i have blankets too if i dont like the grow bag.

Heya!
I've seen the gro bags and I must say I think they are ugly! But....they are supposedly safer for the baby because they cant pull it over there heads. However, most of the blankets u buy for babies nowadays are celluar i.e. they have little holes in them so if baby does pull it over its head then it can still breathe anyway!
I probs wont be buying one...as blankets are more multi purpose too!
