A rhesus d negative women

I'm A negative and i had to have my anti-d injection today, and i'm dead scared of needles. I hated blood tests and nearly passed out when i first got pregnant. Said i'd rather be in labour than have blood taken. Bit sissy like, i know!
Just wanted to reassure any women who are worried, the needle isn't that big and the only thing you feel is a slight prick in your arm.
If you wanna talk about it, i'll happily answer any questions xxxx

Its fine dont worry........

Hi ,
Im also rehsus neg and im on my 3rd pregnancy, please dont worry bout the needle, i dont like needles at all and had to have the anti d jabs with both of my pregnancies so far and will have to with this one as well when the time comes!!! The needle is tiny and i just dont look and tell her just to get on with it and before i know it it's over and done with!!!!

I wont lie though the injection itself can be a bit painful as the liquid they inject us with is quite a thick fluid so can sting for alittle while after but thats the only thing i have found with it

Hope this helps, please dont worry its really not too bad

take care

Rhesus 0..

Hiya I'm a rhesus 0 negative, and this is my second pregnancy,I'm 9+3wks ,Hey thats not fair though I had to have my injections in my bum! And i wanted my partner with me for comfort as ive a fear of needles,(blood tests being the worst) but the thought of my partner seeing me do a mooney at the midwife while she plonked a needle in my backside wasnt the best of thoughts so i went it alone for all three of them.I had to persuade my partner to have a blood test first to check his blood type just to make absolute sure i needed the Anti-D's!
This time round i'm going to ask my midwife to give them to me in my arm now ive read this lol,got another 19 weeks to wait though thank goodness!
P.S It wasn't just a slight prick i felt when making the baby...

Glad i haven't got to have one in my bum! I've got 10weeks and 5days left now... seems like forever....
I have my tongue, nose, and belly button (twice) pierced, and a tattoo, but some how i can't stand the thought of something like liquid being injected into me or blood taken away!
Kelsey and Possible name for baby 'Jesse-Jake' xx

Same

That's all i felt in my arm too. I'm just glad there's other women out there with rare blood types, felt like i was the only one when they told me in was one in six women who have A negative blood !! xx

Havent had mine yet but sooo damn scared!!

I'm rhesus O negative and so damn scared about going for my needle. I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant and dont go for my first needle until June 5th...does this sound normal. I'm a top class worrier, this is my first pregnancy that has continued longer than 9 weeks, i suffered two miscarriages last year. So you can imagine how my mind is working overtime. Plus i have a front lying placenta... completely covering my stomach so i can barely feel my little one moving at times, and some days i cant feel her at all... yes i know i worry too much but any advice or tips on anything is more than welcome XxXxX
