I have just had my 11 week scan and have read that you can tell the babies sex by the position of the genital tubercle but other research says that the babies sex cannot be seen until at least the 16th week scan - has anyone else heard anything about detecting the sex by the position of the genital tubercle?

i belong to a message board and one of the girls found out at 14 weeks at a private scan she was having a boy, she went for nuchal scan and it showed 70% it was a boy so pretty good odds, i found out at a sexing scan at 18 weeks privately that im having a boy too and got it confirmed yest at my nhs anomaly 21 week scan , i think there is a company that can find out the sex of ur baby from 8 weeks with a dna sample, and its meant to be really accurate, they showed it on this morning one day x

hope that info helps, when i had my sexing scan they wouldnt book me in till after 16 weeks as more accurate to tell sex then , i waited to 18 weeks just to be sure
