heya lovlies,

i had a MW appointment today, and once again my blood pressure was low 95/56, i have been told to make sure im drinking plenty of fluids and eating regularly, she said that it would explain my fainting and dizzyness too.are there any other mums 2 be who have low blood pressure? if so is there anything else i can do to help raise it?

hope you are all well
much love

Low BP makes you feel awful, I just naturally when feeling nauseous reach for salty snacks, salt raises BP which is why when you have high BP you cut out salt. Don't know but it works for me, although obviously I take it in moderation, 1 packet of plain crisps a day or some salted nuts.

Hope that helps M

Hi Leitia, Hope this helps, i also have low blood pressure, the m/w said that whenever you are stood up, rock from your toes to your heels in a gentle motion, that should help keep your pressure at the level it is when your moving around, and lots of rest (easier said than done i know) hope that helps you my lovely

i was told at my booking in and 16 week appointment that my blood pressure was low, but it always has been. was told there was nothing to worry about at all.
saw a gp yesterday (non preggers related!) and my blood pressure was 'perfect' whatever that was!!

Try not to worry about it - it isn't a bad thing and will probably rise anyway!
