Has anyone got an irregular heartbeat, and has this been affected by your pregnancy? I have one and it has felt worse since i have been pregnant even though i dont smoke and drink anymore.
Thanks

Hi Kerry
I am now 27 weeks pregnant and I have a heart murmur which I found out about 4 years ago when I had a myomectomy operation to remove fibroids.
It's only now it's started to affect me and has taken it's toll on my breathing as my tummy has grown almost up to my ribs and I'm getting out of breath.
The midwife has been keeping an eye on it for me and said that it is fine as shouldn't cause any problems, but I have been taking extra breaks and trying to take things easy, although difficult as I work full-time as a PA in London and It's busy most of the time. Oh well, I only have a month left and then I finish so looking forward to that.
If it is troubling you, just have a chat to your midwife to put your mind at ease.
Take care
Dawn x
