"I have an internal bleed"
Posted by jenniemay08 14 September  at  11:57

Hello,

I am 6/2 and have been experiencing terrible cramps. Went to the doctors and they referred me to the EPU for a scan beacuse they thought i could be having an etopic pregnancy. This was not the case when the scan was done and the baby was in the correct position. ( So exciting to see the heartbeat).

Then they said they had discovered an internal bleed and it was measuring 18mm.

They have told me not to worry and it is very common and i haven't actually lost any blood externally but this could come. On my notes it said inferior to the sac? Whatever that meant.

I am now so scared that i am going to miscarry.

Has anybody else expereienced this?

Hi Jennie,
I went for a scan at 8 weeks and was told the same thing. They said it could bethe effects of implantation, which was very common and they have to tell you, even though it is nothing to worry about. They also said I would probably have never known, if it wasn't for having that early scan. I'm now 13 weeks and had a scan on Tuesday and everything was fine.
So, I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry and don't scare yourself stupid by looking it all up on the internet!
Take care, Vanessa x
