Has anyone got any tips for backache? I'm 30 weeks pregnant and tried everything I can think of including deepheat rub and having a bath. It seems to be bareable during the day, however at night It keeps me awake and I can't get comfortable at all! I've even tried surrounding myself with pillows in bed. I would appreciate any advice, thanks!

My friend had the same problem, she bought some great big special pillows to help her get comfy in bed, they really helped - sorry though, I can't for the life of me remember the brand or name! they were quite heavy though, denser than normal pillows and much more supportive. Her partner ended up on the sofa for the final few weeks!

I was wondering if the pillows you are talking about are a big "U" shape, if so I've seen them in big department stores! I'll look out when shopping tommorow. Thanks for the advice and I'll let you know how I get on !!!

I also suffer with backache! Not nice !!
Mine stareted at about 22 weeks and my midwife sent me for physio as i was climbing the walls... she gave me some really good exercises to do and gives a great massage.
I was also advised to go to 'aqua natel' as they are usually run by physio's.. hopefully you will get advise quicker this way rather than waiting for an appointment through the NHS
