Hey, for those of you who remember me.... Just to let you know I had identical twin boys, born very premature at 28wks gestation in Dundee on 16th July 2007. I had to travel 2hrs 30 mins away to Dundee from home as there were no beds near to where I stay. First born was Finlay John, weighing in at 2lbs 1oz and Fraser Allan, weighing in at 1 lbs 11oz. Little Fraser fell asleep on the 14th August 2007 but his brother Finlay is doing well, he has been up in Yorkhill for tests on his heart and kidneys and all seems well so he will be back home today to the neonatal unit in crosshouse. Finlay now weighs 6lbs 6oz and is thriving! His brother Fraser is his wee angel now looking over him.
Hope all of you who were expecting your babies at the same time are doing well.

wow finlay has done so so well, what a little fighter, your little fraser did well too he hung on in there for a while, gave you enough time to love him to bits!! my husband is an identical twin and 36 years ago they were born the same time 28wks my hubby was the same weight as your finlay and is now a strapping bloke, his brother was slightly bigger, but my mum in law had a long hard haul just like youve had they did both survive but it was touch and go for a long time... i am so pleased that your finlay is doing so well, he will bring you extra special joy!! because he really is an extra special little boy... your posting is so positive and has made me and im sure it will make others look at life in a different perspective, i wish you every bit of joy and happiness with your beautiful baby boy, and im sure you will always feel a magical presence with your angel
all the best xxxx

Hi all, thanks for all your kind thoughts, it means alot. Finlay is now a whopping 6lbs 5oz and is taking 100mls bottle feeds every 3-4hrs on demand. He is still on a tiny smidge of oxygen so the docs are weaning him off it slowly and if all goes well he will be home with us nxt week! I can't wait. After 12wks i'm finally getting my baby boy home and he will be spoiled rotten!
Hope ur all keeping well and best wishes
Jacqueline x
