I was wondering, do you get given another scan after the 20-21 week scan or not?

two, is abit shocking i think, 3 would have been more reasonable, like just for a check around 36weeks make sure baby in right position and of course so can have another look how little one is doing. lol

i live in london sw u are not offered a scan after the 20 week one , only way u will be is if there are any problems that arise in you pregnancy, thanks

I live in the midlands, and you normally just get the 2 scans, 1 at 12wks & 1 at 20wks. My midwife said there could be a lot of reasons why you could have to go again in the last wks of pregnancy. I have not been since my 20wk scan as everything is ok, baby has been lying in the head down position for ages now. I wish sometimes that I could go again just to see my baby again, although later on you dont get to really see as much, so I've been told. The 3D scans are meant to be good later on.

I'm not really sure but i think that you only have more if they have concerns etc. My midwife gave me a list of what happens and when and as far as i can see thats it after the 20 week one. Not sure whether its different on where you live and what different hospitals offer.

I see my midwife on Thursday so shall ask her then.

i think you have one more towards the end but im high risk and have about 15 each pregnancy you think it would be a good thing but it just makes you panic more

i am not sure if you do, unless they want to check growth or if they had any concerns earlier on. had my 20 week scan on friday, god! how amazing!!

The sonographer told me after the 20 week scan that that was it unless you have problems or a growing to quick/slow.

I got sent for another scan last thursday. The midwife thought my baby was lying sideways and as i'm due 3rd oct she was worried, but i was sure the baby was head down because of the hiccups i had felt earlier that day, anyway it was head down and it was nice to be able to see my babe again. I do think you should have three scans, but i guess it is only if there is any probs that you do.
