Heh Jo! I am 11 weeks pregnant and I had the same type of scare a few weeks ago. I had the bright red blood and was so so worried that i'd lost the baby. when I went to the hospital they did a scan and examination and thank god all was ok. They said it may be because I like to jog (although I wasn't doing anything strenuous!) You'll probably never know. Just be glad all's ok! Glad to hear it and I wish you all the best with the rest of your pregnancy! x x newbie16

Hi Jo, I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant and have had bleeds weeks 8-15 and then another at week 20 and no-one can give me a reason for it. It's scarey as hell but I'm just having to get used to it I suppose. I bought myself a doppler (heart monitor) at week 15 just so I could calm myself down if I ever had a bleed. It works! If i'm ever concerned now I just get this out and have a listen. 12 weeks is probably a bit early but if you buy a good one off of ebay or something you should beable to hear him/her from week 14. Mines a HI-BEBE and I can't fault the thing, I paid around £35.00 for it and it's been worth every penny! It will be a nice for your little boy yo hear the heartbeat too! Any bleeding should be checked out of course but in my case (and possibly yours) they just can't tell why it's happening. If you ever have any pain with it though you should seek immediate help. Not sure if this is of any help...I'm on my first, you have experience already! Take care, and best of luck with your pregnancy Regards Ruth
