hey ladies,
had a scan this morning to check on my placenta as it was low, but that is all fine! my midwife asked me last week wen i go for my scan to ask them the estimated weight of the baby! well they told me its a whopping 7lb 9oz already and i still ave 4 wks 2 go! my first one i had nearly 2 years ago and he was 8lb 11oz so i was kinda hoping this time round it would be smaller but there is no chance of that! has anyone else found out a rough idea of there babies weight? or anyone else due near my date 24oct!
love chevonne and big bump xxxx

""does size really matter?? - 5lb baby at 32 weeks""
Posted by charlotte0pink0lady 28 September  at  09:42

Hello
I am in the same boat - I am being monitored for Anti C levels and luckily or not so lucky they are going to induce me by 38 weeks as the baby may be in danger. At a recent growth scan it showed my little man is already a healthy 5lb! How scarey, my first child (a litle girl) was a lovely 6lb 4oz and that was 36 hours of agony, I'm in panic mode!!!

A woman has given birth (by C section) of a 17.11 lb baby would you believe it !!! There's a picture of it in the paper, looks like it's 3 years old already lol.

The baby is the 12th child of the woman and all the other 11 weighed 11 lbs or more.

Crikey, she must have a ... like a bucket ha ha !!

hi ya im due on 21st oct but have a very low placenta so i have to have a c section on 10th oct i had a scan yesterday and they told me she was 71b 30z, with very long legs (they are measuring 39wks and im 36wks!!) my 1st girl was very long though and shes now 15 and six feet tall!!
all the best for the rest of your pregnancy x

My baby is due 27th Oct, I have no idea what weight my baby could be. I see my midwife 2moro so will ask her if she has any idea. If you read any pregnancy books it says your baby weighs about 6 lb at 36 wks ! but we are all different.
When the midwife measures my bump it is following the line on my chart but is always just above it, I wonder if this means I'm having a big baby, I will definately have to ask !
I'm glad all was ok when you had your scan.
All the best Chevonne & ladies,

Cath & 35+4 wks wriggly bump x

Hey, i am 38 weeks pregnant, due 11th October! Everyone keeps asking me if im having twins as im so big! The midwife said there is nothing to worry about and that my baby will be 8 or 9 lbs! I am a bit worried though! This is our first baby!

Congrats to you, hope it all goes well xxx
"Bowling ball"

Hi Chevonne,

You're gonna be passing a bowling ball by the sounds of it lol! (and doesn ... seem weird how our ...ahem ... are gonna expand to allow for all this!).

Don't worry hun, remember is was only an estimate after all.

Deena x
