"Thanks!" Posted by dmc76 1 October at 21:55
Thanks guys
It's nice to know that I'm not alone. I'm not great at taking a lunch break so I'll make sure I do that. Feel better today as I kicked the other half out into the spare room although I can't be doing that every night! Especially since thats becoming the nursery in the next month.
Anyway, thanks for your support and I might think about bringing the maternity leave forward, need to start to acknowledge that I can't carry on as before! Superwoman I am NOT!

"How about the odd day off?" Posted by ker1977 4 October at 18:31
I'm only 20 weeks but I'm already finding I get tired easily.
Someone I work with recommends taking a day off each week (e.g. Wednesday) on the month up to going on Mat leave. She did it and found it really helped with the tiredness, it means you only work 2 days at a time. It doesn't use up much annual leave.
Can you work from home one day a week - I arranged this for today as I was feeling knackered. Makes a huge difference not having to commute and I got much more done as I wasn't being disturbed.
Hopefully you can find a solution that works for you.

"Me too!" Posted by lex1008 1 October at 13:53
Hi,
I feel exactly the same and also due to give up work at 37 weeks but thinking of bringing this forward. You probably know but you can change the date you start as long as you give them 28 days notice. I am thinking of bringing it forward to 34 weeks.
Good luck with it all! Lex x

"Hi..." Posted by brm2007 1 October at 12:57
I remember I was just getting over it at that stage, some days I was tired with swollen feet etc, I planned to finish up at 37 weeks but ended up finishing at 36 weeks, last Friday...I had to work as we couldn't afford for me to stay home - not that we can now either ha!!!
Good Luck!

"Can't wait to finish!" Posted by dawnt 1 October at 12:15
Hi Donna
Like you I've got a full-time job but unfortunately I work in London and have to commute on the train every day, so really starting to feel the strain now. I'm almost 30 weeks pregnant and am working until the end of October, but the way I felt this morning I don't think I'll last the week!
Managing the tiredness thing is hard - I feel I just want to sleep anywhere at the moment. To make things worse, I'm sitting at a different desk for the resk of my time here, so that the woman that's covering for me while I'm away can sit at my desk and basically do my job with me shadowing in the background. Feel a bit of a spare part at the moment, but I'm not doing a great deal so feel okay about it. Just so looking forward to finishing.
To beat the tiredness I've been making sure I go out at lunch for a bit of fresh air and make sure I'm drinking plenty of water which seems to keep me awake. So, basically no hot chocolate!
Anyway, try to take it easy at work (easier said than done I know) and I'm sure the next 10 weeks until you finish will go quicker than you think.
Take care
Dawn x

"Hi" Posted by lynni298 1 October at 08:48
hi hun, sorry iv got no tips but i know exactly how you are feeling. fortunately iv been signed off as i had a few problems a couple of weeks ago and now need to take it easy, but when i was working i felt as if i could fall asleep anywhere i was absolutely shattered, i couldn't be bothered to do anything. iv got my sick note till half term then start my materninty leave (35weeks) after that thank goodness! if you can afford it just go to your gp and explain how you feel see if he'll sign you off for a week or two just so you can have a rest. hope you're feeling better soon xxx
