yes you have to avoid unpasteurised cheers or soft cheese if you prefer; a cup of coffee per day or tea might be enough; cook very well all the meat and clean (with a little brush if you can) the vegetables and fruit; However, start taking the folic acid if you havent yet, it is very important for you and for the baby, eat plenty of fruit and salad every day, fish 2 times a week (salmon, sardines, mackerel are very good for you), and if you are constipated, take some all bran (i hate that but i have no choice) with a bit of milk every day, it will really help you ! For the rest, look on the several website, read as much as you can bear and if you are confuse, come back to ask us your questions !!!

... are not authorized when you're pregnant - mussels - schrimps - coffee or tea (you can drink but don't abuse, just one per day) - some cheese - stop smoking and drinking alcohol
that's all i can tell you

hi
how many weeks are you?? i went for my 1st check with a midwife at 5 weeks she explained everything to me and answered any question's I had but she told me thing's about food that i didn't know or think to ask!
if you're not going to the midwife/GP for a while then i'd read up on the many websites that are out there, try doing a search on goggle or ask jeeves and see what comes up, i'm sure you'll find out what you need. take care x
